Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021 when she joined CNN. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher will cover everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin was born into the sector of space, as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years, she's been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations in FOX News. Also, she covered the 2020 presidential race and the efforts of two administrations in fighting the coronavirus. Her extensive travels with the Vice President and the President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan that she made with Donald Trump. Before being hired by the channel in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor in Science in Journalism, which she earned from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her family, including their daughter, who is three years old.
