Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is currently an ESPN sportscaster. ESPN who is also anchor for SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. In 2016, she joined ESPN. The child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful talent that enabled her to get her first position working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami and allowed her to be a part of the production team for national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS subsidiary in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become an sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1985. She is the elder sibling of her parents. In 1992, the family left Mexico to the US and settled in Miami. In 1992, the couple divorced soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo who was naval engineer, who passed away in the year 2006 from kidney cancer. The time of summer when she was with her sister living in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student and had a very clear vision of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. At the end of the day, she fell in love with the university. And they offered her an academic major. When she finished high school, she decided to go to the university and major in Media Studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism.
